Lilia Houissa

I am a Tunisian painter and psychiatrist working between Paris and Tunis. My practice explores the human condition through the body, approached not as a fixed anatomical structure but as a living archive, where memory, emotion, tension are stored. My training in psychiatry alongside my artistic development allowed me to observe how the mind inhabits the body. Through a figurative and humanist approach, I pursue a form of psychological dissection of raw anatomy, offering a reading of the body as both witness and bearer of the human experience.
